FNFMA: First Nations Fiscal Management Act
For many First Nations in Canada, moving forward with economic
development can be challenging. One challenge is the lack of access to
affordable financing for capital projects. The course explores: the
First Nations Fiscal Management Act (FNFMA), the First Nations Financial
Management Board (FNFMB) and identifies how First Nations communities
can utilize the FNFMA and FNFMB services to access long-term financing
for infrastructure development projects on reserve.
